In some cases, we might ask you to provide more information, like the size of your company and the regions you operate in. To enhance or update the information you provide, we may also collect personal data from third parties, such as your affiliates or advertisers.

  • References and/or word of mouth

Why we collect your personal data and how long we keep/use it

We collect your personal data to communicate with you, deliver your requests, respond to queries, improve our service offerings, and present any other relevant information, including offers.

We store your personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose in question. For example, if we are in contract with you, we will hold your personal data for [insert value] years after contract expiry, in case we need to make any contractual claims. With that said, we use multiple criteria to determine the retention period, including any obligations under law and consideration of the original intent for collecting the personal data.

Who we share your personal data with

We share your personal data with the client or business who is engaging our recruitment and executive search or financial services, in relation to your current or potential engagement. Additionally, we may from time to time share your personal data with the relevant 3rd party providers if they are a pivotal part of the project we are delivering. It is recommended that you read their privacy policies separately.

The lawful basis for which we process your personal data

The personal data provided by you is used to supply you with the necessary content and services as per your request, including important notices; and, for internal company purposes such as data analysis, auditing and research, in order to better streamline the information we supply you with.

We may also need to use your personal data for offering content/services which you might find relevant, based on the interests and preferences you’ve shared with us. In addition, we may share your personal data with 3rd party clients to consider you for better professional opportunities. We recommend reading their privacy policies separately.

Your rights regarding our use of your personal data

By UK law, you have a number of rights pertaining to how we use your personal data:

  1. The right to be informed
You have the right to have clear, easily understandable and transparent information on how we use your personal information as a company and your rights around it, which is already present in this Privacy Policy for your convenience. Should you have any questions about transfer of data or locations of data, or what our legitimate interests are for using and/or retaining your data, please let us know.
  2. The right of access
You have the right to acquire access to your personal information (as long as we are processing it), and any other type of personal information (similar to the types mentioned in this Privacy Policy). This ensures that you are aware of and can verify that we are using your personal information in accordance with data protection law and local law.
  3. The right to rectification
You have the right to access your information for the purpose of correcting, updating or completing it.
  4. The right to erasure
Also known as ‘the right to be forgotten’, this gives you the right to request deletion/removal of your personal information where there is no legitimate reason for us to store or process it. However, there are exceptions as this is not a general right.
  5. The right to restrict processing
You have the right to suppress or block further use of your personal information. However, even when processing is restricted, we continue to store your personal information, but with restricted processing. We maintain a list of clients who wish to ‘block’ or ‘suppress’ further use of their personal information, in order to ensure that such a restriction is maintained in future.
  6. The right to data portability
You have the right to obtain and re-use your personal information for any purpose whatsoever across different services. For example, you have the right to transfer this personal information to another provider if you wish. You can also move, copy and transfer your personal data between our data servers and their related storage systems safely and security without affecting usability.
  7. The right to object to processing
You have the right to object to specific kinds of data processing. This includes data processing for direct marketing purposes or where we need to process data for our legitimate interests.
  8. The right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to register a complaint about how we handle, use or process your personal information with the national data protection regulator.
  9. The right to withdraw consent
If you have given us your consent to do anything we wish with your personal information/data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time you deem fit – in doing so, it does not automatically mean that anything we have done with your data (with your consent) so far has been unlawful or can be reversed or undone. This also includes your right to withdraw consent for using your personal information for marketing purposes.

Access to your information

You can request at any time for your personal data to be made available which we hold and process. Please include the subject “personal data access request” in the email subject line and send your message to info@stanhopesearch.com. Handling and processing these requests has no additional charge – however, we may charge a nominal fee if repeated or excessive requests are received, asking for further copies of the same personal data or information. Our typical response window is 30 days after receiving the data access request.

This Policy may be updated from time to time, in response to any changes in data privacy law, local law, or any changes to our company. Please bookmark this page and review the Policy from time to time for any changes or updates.
